Coming Full Circle

Image
Coming Full Circle The current owner, Tommy Brooks, sold this 61' Pontiac Catalina Tri-Power bubble-top, 35 years  ago. Now, I know what you must be thinking, if he sold it 35 years ago, how in the world was Tommy able to get this car back into his collection? Well, it's a astonishing story to say the least. When Tommy sold this car 35 years ago, it was an all original, numbers matching car. Everything was just as it was when it left the showroom floor back in 1961. After Tommy sold the car, years went by and he eventually lost track of the car, and ultimately forgot about it. Well, he forgot about it up until about 10 years ago when  he received a call from a buddy of his who claimed to have just bought a beautiful blue, 61'  Tri-Power bubble top Catalina. This spiked Tommy's interests and he began to wonder if the Catalina that his buddy just bought could be his old Catalina. Tommy wondered so much about this car, that eventually he couldn't stand wondering...

Long Lost Keepsake

Long Lost Keepsake   To many people this 1940's Ford may just look like another old, rundown Ford, nothing special at all. However, this car has a very unusual and fascinating story. The current owner, Tommy Brooks, tells me that the previous owner, owned this car for nearly 50 years. He took care of it like it was his baby, washed it, cleaned it, and even swapped in a 56' Oldsmobile motor in it. He lived in a small house in Riverside, California, with his mother and father until the day they died, and kept the car all those years. He never left his parents home, he never married, and he never had any children.  So, when he passed away the car was given to the only living family member left that was remotely close to him: his nephew. Sadly, his nephew did not have any interest for the car and soon after acquiring the car, put it up for sale on Craigslist. Fortunately, Tommy purchased the car, and now looks after it just like the previous owner did, all those years ago...
Quick Status update for anyone who has stopped by.  I am working with someone interested in journalism who will help me start providing content for you guys in the near future.  Look for shoots with some sweet cars and maybe some quick videos with some of the armory we have available. As always, thank you for you patience and sorry for the delay.

A Beginning

Everyone has to start out somewhere, sometime.  Now seems like as good a time as any. I am starting this blog in hope of bringing something to people that they might enjoy. It stems from something that I have been saying for years, and that I believe there must be a strong community for.  What is it exactly?  What statement could be so driving? When asked what I am interested in, what I enjoy learning about, it is always answered with " I like things that go BOOM and VROOM". Hopefully what you will come to find here are articles from a fresh perspective.  Articles about guns, cars and things that can make them or break them.  Insight into the community and culture, from the grassroots movements to the mainstream giants. My intent is to bring you my perspective on what people, people like you and me, are doing. Hopefully we all get lucky and I manage to provide you with some entertainment along the way. So here we go, on to big things.
